PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Engineering Lead at Owens Corning Appliance is responsible for providing all aspects of technical leadership to the Plant.
The position reports to the Plant Leader and is a member of the plant leadership team.
This position is targeted to have two hourly direct reports:
Quality Tech and Maintenance Tech Lead.

Ensure all PPAPs and other customer requirements are completed in timely manner.
Develop metrics for maintenance team that are aligned with TPM goals Lead and Develop Talent Create and sustain a culture where talent is developed through effective performance management and talent evaluationEffectively staff the organization with competent people using the appropriate mix of internal and external talent to satisfy both near-term and long-term succession needsEnsure a positive, creative, diverse and collaborative work environment where employees own the success of the businessPlan, promote and organize training activities to constantly elevate the capabilities of employeesEstablish clear and measurable performance expectations and hold direct reports accountable for delivering the goalsActively participate in talent reviews as well as invest in the growth and development of self and others to achieve sustained successMaintain documentation, track, counsel and execute coaching and corrective action when performance issues occurLead Across the Site Drive alignment between plant departmentsShare best practices, challenge thinking and provide candid and respectful feedback; set an example for the organization of how teamwork and partnerships should workBe seen as a great leader across the plant, driving engagement and supporting cross-functional projects and teamsAssist the plant leader with other duties as required JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering disciplineA minimum of five (5) years of progressive technical experience in a manufacturing environmentA minimum of two (2) years of experience leading people PREFERRED
Experience:
